Air pollutants sources and effects

Air pollutants sources and effects  Air pollution is mainly caused due to two reasons first humans and second due to air pollutants present in the atmosphere. And if you want to control or stop pollution in air, first you have to know about air pollutants, their sources and its effect. When you get full and complete information about their sources. Then you will recognise the real cause and will be able to control it. Through this article we conveyed air pollutants full information from where they are generated and how they will affect you and your family. Let's start Air pollutants sources and effects CO ( carbon monoxide) It is colorless, odorless, tasteless gas, chemically inert under normal condition of temperature and pressure. It has no effect at normal concentration (0.1 ppm) but at higher concentration it is seriously affects  the human metabolism. Sources a) CO reduce the oxygen carrying capacity of blood by reacting with hemoglobin and cause giddiness, laziness and exhaus

Noise pollution from industries

Noise pollution from industries produce noise up to 55-100 dB which is able to disturb your mental balance.

If you or any of your family member work in the industries.

And you want to find out effects of noise pollution by factory or industries on you or your family members then .

keep reading this article you will definitely get the answer of your queries.

Industries are one of the major sources of noise pollution.

This is due to the use of heavy machines and power tools. We will cover this topic further in this article.

We also discuss which type of industries are responsible for noise pollution.

In last we also provided best way to reduce it.

Let's start

Noise Pollution From Industries

The usual noise produced from the industry ranges from 55 to 95 dB . The maximum acceptable level of noise is 90 dB.

Industrial noise affect in  both ways directly and indirectly. It affect their employees as well as other mankind.

Machines are majorly responsible for the noise in industry.

Other main reasons are employees and their activity we will discuss further.

Causes of industrial noises

Heavy machinery

Normally the  noise produce by  machines is nearly 82 to 120 dB . Which is more than the limit of acceptable noise for human.

Machines are the most important part of any industry. It is economically helpful, and it reduces the cost of production and drive profit towards the owners.

But, at the flip side it also creates interference in communication and affects the mental ability and health of the employees.

Which parts of the machine are responsible for noise ?

  • Compressor
  • Electric motors
  • Ventilator
  • Fans
  • Grinders
  • Pumps
  • Gears
  • Conveyor belts.

  • The majority of noise is produced by these parts of machine.

Noise of a machine also depends upon its type like leth machines produce lot of noise on the other hand advance machinery like CNC produce less noise pollution.

Transportation

Other sources of sound in the industries are transportation.

There are different types of transportation present in industry .

It can be transportation of machines ,products and even of their employees.

Large industries have very huge campus. In those industries the work area are separated and  have a distance between them.

So industries need a transportation network within the industry.

Through which they have a medium for displace their machines and employees.

Due to this , noise is produced which disturbs the atmosphere or working condition of a worker.

Employees activity

Second most important sources of the noise in MNC is employees activity.

Employees of industries create noise which is harmful for themselves also.

The tools used by workers like grinders , hammers and rotators etc produce noise up to 115 dB.

This is very harmful and dangerous for them .

It can cause loss of hearing and cardiovascular disease.

Industries Which Produce Noise Pollution

Saw Mills

The average noise produced by sawmills is 94 dB which is harmful for human.

Sawmill provide facility to cut the tree logs into particular size of piece. Which will be used in furniture work.

For this saw mills use machines to cut the wood and also use power tools like grinders.

These tools and machine do noise production in sawmills.

Printing press

In present the use of printing press is  decreasing ,due to the availability of e-books and e- newspaper on the internet.

But there are large population who buy books ,newspaper and magazines in present too.

Printing press produce average noise upto 93dB which is quite dangerous.

This noise is due to printers and conveyor belt use .

Weaving factory

In this type of factories the production of fabric and cloth is done.

By process like knitting, chrocheting and stitching which is done by power looms and stitching machines.

Through this 95 dB noise is produced which is not acceptable  for humans.

Packaging

In  recent times countries are trying to globalise their market for which they need a shipment of their products on regular basis.

To protect their product from damage they need proper  packaging of it.

For this , new industries came in the existence which are known as a packaging industry.

This industry is also appreciable source in the biosphere.

They use noisy ,heavy machines for their work which is not good for the environment.

Furniture factory

Furniture is a basic need of every family . Due to increase in the population their demands have been  increasing continuously.

The average noise produced by furniture factory is 92 dB . Which is due to the activity like cutting and grinding of wood.

For giving it particular shape which will be used in making of furniture.

Marble industry

Marble is used in making of floor ,statue and home decore.

But due to this , noise is produced which is  very dangerous for any individual.

This is due to use of power tools and machines for their production.

Effects Of Industrial Noise

Now,  we will talk about the effects of noise pollution in industries by industry.

It has also effects on different components of environment check out here.

Loss of hearing of the employees.

The heavy machines which are used in factory will bring many serious effects towards its employes.

One of such effects is loss of hearing . Through which hearing capability of employee will be decrease.

Interference in communication

Due to the production of noises the  communication between the employee will be decreased.

Which directly affects in the production of their product.

Due to which they may face economical problems.

Health effects

Basically due to presence of bad sound in working environment working efficiency of the factory workers will decrease.

Which can help the factories or industries to face economical issue.

And the noise which are produced through machines and power tools cause health problems in workers.

It can cause cardiovascular disease which may bring worker near the hospital and help them to get costly bills.

The other way, it can affect them mentally too.  which can cause disease related to mental health which can destroy their peace of mind.

Way To Reduce Industrial Noise Pollution

-) Industry have to do proper maintenance and lubrication of their noisy machines due to which noise produce due to them will reduce.

-) Earplugs should be available for workers through which they can cancel out the bad sound around them.

Due to this they can protect themselves from the effects of bad sound.

Which directly affect the company to grow economically.

-) Noisy machine should be installed in the soundproof chamber due to which noises produced by machines can be cancelled out.

-) Plant more trees around industry because the long and broad leaves of trees absorb the bad sound.

Conclusion

Now you now that noise  pollution produced from industries is very harmful for their employees and environment too.

It can damage the mental peace of a person and also affects economically to any type of business.

But it is possible to reduce it from the industry by applying those ways which we discussed in the article.

Noise is bad for any type of organisms. That's why it is underrated enemy of mankind.
