Air pollutants sources and effects

Air pollutants sources and effects  Air pollution is mainly caused due to two reasons first humans and second due to air pollutants present in the atmosphere. And if you want to control or stop pollution in air, first you have to know about air pollutants, their sources and its effect. When you get full and complete information about their sources. Then you will recognise the real cause and will be able to control it. Through this article we conveyed air pollutants full information from where they are generated and how they will affect you and your family. Let's start Air pollutants sources and effects CO ( carbon monoxide) It is colorless, odorless, tasteless gas, chemically inert under normal condition of temperature and pressure. It has no effect at normal concentration (0.1 ppm) but at higher concentration it is seriously affects  the human metabolism. Sources a) CO reduce the oxygen carrying capacity of blood by reacting with hemoglobin and cause giddiness, laziness and e...

Ultimate guide of 4R Principle

Ultimate guide of 4R Principle

4r Principal

Evolution is a part of life.

Today humans are trying to make their function more advanced than existing ones.

One of such advanced version is 4R principles which is better than 3R principle.

We all know that 3R contain 3 stages to tackle waste management problem. But in 4R there is an additional one stage to manage the waste produce.

We tried to explain elaborately the all the four stages in this article.

We also discussed about their logical sequence because implementation is more important than theory.

If you want to know more

Let's dive in

4R principle

For any waste management system, following 4R which is jointly called "4R concept" is used to achieve the objectives of waste minimization and resource conservation.

  • Reduce
  • Reuse
  • Recycle
  • Recover

 Reduce

Reduce is to limit the amount of waste created at the source. Reducing the waste at the source means to buy only what we really need - there will be no waste to treat , when there is no wastes to begin with.

A simple example of this may be carrying cloth bag to buy vegetables.

If we don't it carry a cloth bags the vegetable vendor make give you separate plastic bag for each vegetable we buy.

This also include buying products with less packaging.

By reducing consumption we reduce or eliminate the use of products and therefore minimise the utilisation of natural resources which may be required in the production of those product.

This would result in lesser pollution and reduce of financial burden.

Reuse

Reuse means to use something again that would be normally thrown away.
Glass jar for food or plastic bags for bin liners are always thrown.

Don't throw away items that are reusable. Reduce waste by making full use of any item that are reusable.

By reusing the product, we reuse the  natural Sources from which the product were manufactured to the fullest possible extent and therefore consumption of additional natural resources can be limited.

Recycle

Recycling happens when reducing and reusing of waste is not possible.

Then the end product undergoes several mechanical process change it informed that is able to to be used in some other activity.

Ensure a good separation of waste into " one material fractions " that can be more easily recycled.

Recyclable material like paper, plastic ,food ,wood , cardboards metals etc should be properly separated.

recycling items into new product required the use of fewer natural resources then new production of that particular item.

For example if we recycle the used paper in manufacturing new paper the number of trees that are required to be cut for producing papers will get reduced.

Recover

When product surpassed all the above-mentioned stages.

so in recover stage waste is converted into to resources ( like electricity, compost, fuel and heat ) through thermal and chemical process.

Logical sequence of 4R  concepts

The order of 4R'S application is important to solve the solid waste management problem.

The closer we get to the top of the list, we create lesser waste and lesser in the disturbance to environment.

Application of 4R'S principal help in sustainable saving the term of money ,time and pollution ,waste and energy.

The 4r's concept makes us to question our daily acts ,the things we do mechanically without thinking of consequences without thinking of environment.

The 4R's provides an ecologically sound environmentally friendly approach for minimising and managing waste in waste streams.

The 4R's approach attacker a waste streams in a logical and mythological methods by taking steps to reduce ,reuse ,recycle recover a way steam into a incremental fraction.

4R concept developed from 3R concept. Management of all the solid waste need to follow 3r principle reduce, reuse and recycle.

With the advancement it in the technology fourth principal recovery (fourth R )was added.

At present many companies started implementing these product avoiding reducing packaging a limitation the amount of waste produced by them next step is used which contribute to save energy introduction of waste.

Next step is recycle ,referred to make full use of all available things in the waste but this must be based on the garbage classification.

After the step of recycle, we still can recover energy from the waste with the development of this technology based in generation power generation become a clean waste to energy technology which is important for today's waste handling problem.

It is used to record products after all these are done the waste that remains can be dumped.

In fact,  the final aim of  4R principles to reduce pollution.

No matter where these waste stay , they will destroy the hole environment .

For realizing 4R principle, not only the country need to make a long term plan but as an individual we should also try to contribute at our level.

It should be a collective effort , so that environment conservation can be done in a better way.

Conclusion

4R principal is advance version of 3R . In which one more stage of managing waste is mentioned.

But the real or the practical issue faced bye people is about it their sequence and their real life application.

We discussed about 4R principal sequence in this article.

Or if you want to read about practical application of 4R'S principle read our article.
